Current Pricing
We clean, lubricate, and calibrate each tool, making all necessary adjustments so that it is within tolerance across its entire measurement range. A NIST-traceable sticker is placed on the tool, with the following information: 1) The tool’s serial number; 2) date of calibration; 3) metrologist’s initials; 4) due date for the next calibration (typically six months or one year).
CHARGES FOR CLEANING AND CALIBRATION
Outside vernier micrometers
Up to four inches: $17.00. Each additional inch: 75 cents.
Outside digital and electronic micrometers
Up to four inches: $19.00. Each additional inch: 75 cents.
Depth micrometers
$19.00. Each additional rod: $2.00.
Inside micrometers
Up to two inches: $19.00. Each additional inch: 75 cents, plus two dollars per rod.
Dial calipers
Up to six inches: $19.00. Each additional six inches: $1.00.
Electronic calipers
Up to six inches: $21.00. Each additional six inches: $1.00.
Vernier calipers
Up to six inches: $15.00. Each additional six inches: $1.00.
Dial indicators and dial test indicators
$19.00
Height gages
Up to six inches: $21.00. Each additional six inches: $1.00.
Digital and electronic height gages
Up to six inches: $23.00. Each additional six inches: $1.00
Dual-beam height gages
Up to six inches: $32.00. Each additional six inches: $1.00.
Over-wire pitch diameter of thread gages
Single-ended, $15.00; double-ended, $17.00. Add $5.00 for gages over 32 threads per inch or over three inches in diameter.
Lapping of precision tools
$40.00 extra.
Repairs
$60.00/hour, with a $30.00 minimum. Cleaning/calibration charges are waived on any repair exceeding $45.00.
Miscellaneous Precision Tools
Estimates are available on miscellaneous precision tools.
- A one-time fee of $4.00 is charged to create a history card and serial number for each tool. This card is updated each time we clean/calibrate or repair the tool, at no additional cost.
- NIST traceability at no additional cost.
